A team of archaeologists from the National Museum of Antiquities, Leiden, The Netherlands, will soon go to Syria, in order to continue the excavations at Tell Sabi Abyad. The campaign will last from August 21 till October 31, 2004. The team consists of 28 persons, including archaeologists, specialists in other disciplines, and students. They come from various countries: the Netherlands, Syria, Belgium, Sweden, Poland, Japan and Italy.

Het opgravingsteam van het Rijksmuseum van Oudheden is weer terug in Nederland!
Op 13 oktober j.l. werd de opgravingscampagne van 2002 afgesloten. Het team bestond uit 25 personen. Dit jaar is op diverse plekken op Tell Sabi Abyad gegraven.
